AudiS3: I´ve taken the 100-meter number from my own experience with my V1 1.8 (v3.789). When I turned off the false alarm guard the range on the Ramet AD9 speed camera (it´s even harder to detect than the Multanova) increased by over 150 meters (from 250 meters to 400 meters from the front) . The Multanovas are easier to detect than that camera and a 100-meter increase in range FROM BEHIND is totally possible on the weakest radar setting (one lane only). I spoke with Mike Valentine a month ago and he told me about their intent to introduce a new EuR mode for the Valentine 1 - 34.3 GHz Ka-narrow detection, disabled X-band and two modes: "u" and "U". K-band will be disabled in "u" mode but enabled in "U" mode. Ku-band will be enabled or disabled the same way it has been up until now, with the H function. I agree, it was an urban area with housing on both sides of the road, also with lots of cars. I have another observation concerning a Ramet radar system (Ka), performing surveillance 50 meters before a tunnel on an expressway. There´s a viaduct with concrete barriers on both sides (no metal) and then another 150 meters or so before you reach the radar. The road forms a right-hand turn and a good 200 (maybe 250) meters before the radar position it comes into view and only then does the V1 sound a Ka alert. And the weather has no effect on it.

Today I tested the V1 (v1.8, firmware v3.7.8.9) against a Multanova 6F, inside a parked car. It was placed behind a bus stop on my right, invisible visually, right until I passed it. The V1 alerted me a good 200 meters before I reached the radar site, that was from the back. From the front the range was slightly over 400 meters, with lamp posts being the only obstacles in the way. Ich war sehr überrascht

I´m new to thew forum and can´t speak German worth a damn (can understand some though), so here goes: To perform a fixed installation you need the V1, a remote audio adapter and the concealed display. Then, simply buy a case made out of plastic, that isn´t radio-waves resistant. Stick the V1 in it, attach it to the bumper and run to wiring to the cockpit.
