Tipps: alle aktuellen Blitzer in Deutschland
By nl2dav (144.44.16.210) on Dienstag, den 28. August, 2001 - 17:42: |
Sorry about my English but my German is a little bit below level.
Is it allowed to link to the DivX/MPG's on this site? It may generate extra data transfer bandwidth, which is costly.
I'm running a Dutch "radarfalle" page and would like to enlarge the site as much as possible with usefull information.
Thanks for your reply's
Regards,

Hallo Dave,
bitte kopiere die Videos auf Deinen Server und setze einen Copyrighthinweise auf radarfalle.de. Die Videos machen 30% des gesamten Traffics aus, daher kann ich ein direktes Verlinken nicht gestatten (wird zu teuer).

Hi, as a friend of Dave, I would like to thank you. I was watching the video's today and had a good laugh about it. The funny thing is that some policemen do take your radar warner if they see it. I myself have both the Bel 915 as the bel 966, so I am not so worried, but how illegal are they?
Maybe you would like to take a look at my site www.flitsservice.nl (blitzservice.nl). I give radarwarnings thru sms. Do you know of a company in Germany that could transfer these sms messages to a GPS system?

Copy to my own server.. Hmm... Not sure if that's ok with my hostings provider. That's why I asked if it's a problem to link to the Videos.
But ok... Zu teuer.. Same problem here... Sigh

@nl2dav
Copy the files to briefcase.yahoo.com or geocity.com as rar-files or other formats. Linking is bad, 10Gb per month for the videosection is more than enough. 1GB ~ 10 EUR
@Martijn
What do you mean with: "transfer these sms messages to a GPS system"?

He wondered if there is a technology to convert SMS messages (with coordinates) into GPS warning messages...
http://www.flitsservice.nl is a free service for car drivers. They spot a "radarfalle" and they SMS it to a server. Then the message will be send to a big mailinglist of GSM mail numbers (free Mail->SMS services on the net) and everyone who is a member of the service will be informed about the radarfalle.
But we are looking to expand the possibilities. (As always...
I also would like to mention that there's someone in the Netherlands who's making antenna Db amplifiers (better radar reception). Those improvements work quite well. Sometimes 50% increase of reception.
And also some other funny experiments, which I don't mention here on the public Internet
